ABOUT ANGELA
FROM THE BEGINNING
We are Mancini was founded by Angela Piper in 2013 as an homage to her European family tailoring traditions. Ever since she was a child, she always dreamed of being a fashion designer. She left Sydney to study a Bachelor of Fashion Design at Massey University in New Zealand and upon returning to Sydney she honed her design, pattern-making and production skills working for many well-known brands such as Zimmerman, Lee Jeans, Suboo, to name just a few.
We are Mancini (WAM) is a Sydney-based ‘ready-to-wear’ bridal fashion label with simple yet stylish wedding dresses available online in a range of sizes to suit everyone. We make elegant cocktail dresses, mini wedding dresses and bridal separates that can be worn not just for a few hours on the most magical night of your life as a bride, but for other events such as hens nights, second dresses, reception dresses, or a special night-out kind of dress. We are Mancini continuously strive to produce affordable yet high quality bridal wear and gowns combined with cutting-edge design and fabrics so that each bride feels confident and special every time they wear WAM designs.
OUR MISSION
We are devoted to designing effortless gowns, designed in Sydney, Australia, and lovingly produced with our manufacturing partners around the world. Celebrating our brides’ true unique form and imbuing a sense of confidence. We want every bride to have the dress of their dreams that allows them to truly be themselves.
HOW WE DO THAT
With a simplicity of style, expertise in patternmaking and garment fits, and using delicately textured silks, cupros and crepes. Giving the We Are Mancini girl the freedom to embark on her marriage as her effortlessly elegant, unique and beautiful self. I believe that you wear the dress, the dress doesn’t wear you.
INSPIRATION
We Are Mancini gowns are focused on timeless silhouettes, quality of fit, and luxe fabrications. As a dancer I’m inspired by music and movement, celebrating the physical form. I love the performance of the runway and incorporate classic, feminine elements of these into my designs.
