BACKSTAGE PASS
DESIGN I find inspiration in many places from my travels around the world, to a piece of music that moves me. But the essence of every We Are Mancini piece is to celebrate women as we are, curves and all, and to create a moment in time where the WAM bride feels effortless, timeless and elegant. |

FABRIC Natural fibres such as silk, viscose and cupro feature heavily in the WAM gowns and bridal mini's. These are biodegradable and have a lesser impact on the earth than man made fibres. The simplicity of design is inspired by the natural drape of these fabrics and their unique textures.

PATTERNMAKING
This is the most important aspect of creating a bridal gown and is by far my favourite process as this is where the sketch comes to life, a blueprint for the gown. It's very trial and error, ensuring we get the fit just right over many samples with lots of tweaks to the pattern along the way. The fit process is to make sure the styles are, comfortable, easy to move and dance in, and flattering to the feminine form, no matter the body shape. A key feature of the We Are Mancini patterns is the bias cut. This technique enables many different body shapes to fit this simple silhouette as the fabric in it's bias state ebbs and flows over the body's natural curves and has a natural stretch element without the use of human-made elastanes.

ATELIER
Over many years in the fashion industry I have worked with many manufacturers both overseas and here in Australia. I have selected the cream of the crop to partner with to lovingly create each bridal piece. These manufacturers bring the dream to life, cutting and seaming each cutwork piece with care. Each gown is put on a mannequin and laser cut to get a perfect hemline, Then it is quality checked, pressed and packed for Sydney, Australia

PHOTOSHOOT Starting with a mood board, I put together visual inspiration to help communicate my story. From lighting examples for the photographer, poses for the model and hair and make-up styles for the HMU artist. Always staying true to the We Are Mancini aesthetic staying true to timeless simplicity. I have a content creator on the day to capture video of the fabrics in movement and get all the behind the scenes fun as well as some cute polaroids for the memories. |
VIRTUAL CONSULTATION I know it can be uncertain buying your wedding gown online, which is why you can book in for a virtual consultation just like Shiloh pictured here. Living in Denver Colorado, she wanted to chat through the different fabrications of the gowns and talk through sizing and fit. Shiloh was able to share her measurements with me and discuss how she wanted to feel in her gown on the day. Over a google chat I was able to show her how the fabrics moved and could try on some of the styles for her so she could get as up close to the gowns as possible. We chatted about the option to return the dress after she received it if she had a change of mind and that really put her at ease. |
