Come with us as we explore our top recommendations for Cuba, the island country in the northern Caribbean sea.Β
Known for its revolutionary history, unique blend of cultures, vibrant music and dance scene, incredible architecture and one of a kind beaches, Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean, and a location close to We Are Mancini founder Angeβs heart. From classic cars, to colourful buildings, cigars and rum, Cuba is a combination of native, African and European influences. From cobblestone streets to rolling mountains, there is so much to explore in Cuba.Β

Things to do:
Explore the Streets of Havana and Old HavanaΒ
As the capital city of Cuba, Havana is the main port and commercial centre of the city, filled with incredible architecture, museums, and culture. Aside from wandering down the streets of Havana, visit the El Capitol, the National Capitol Building, and the Museo de la RevoluciΓ³n, the former Presidential Palace, now a museum, for insight into the revolutionary history of Cuba. Fusterlandia is a must visit, a neighbourhood filled with the vibrant, colourful mosaic artwork of artist JosΓ© Fuster. Donβt forget to walk along the iconic seawall, El MalecΓ³n, particularly at sunset for incredible views.
Within Havana, is Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with cobblestone streets, colourful buildings, and monumental sites. Spend the day here, exploring the old plazas like the Plaza de Armas and Plaza Vieja, each with their own unique atmosphere and architecture.
Discover the Natural Beauty of ViΓ±ales Valley
Another incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ViΓ±ales Valley is home to the traditional tobacco farming practices that create the iconic βcuban cigarβ. The valleyβs karst landscape is known for its rounded hills and mountains that rise abruptly from the flat plain of the valley. The best way to get to the valley from central Havana is by bus, which takes around four and a half hours.
Experience Cuban Music and Dance Culture
Integral to Cuban culture is the music and dance scene, often considered one of the richest and most influential regional music in the world, and is something you must immerse yourself in whilst visiting. Havana is home to a diverse music scene and bustling streets, giving you the perfect opportunity to experience the vibrancy of the culture. Throughout the streets of Havana are endless places to explore the music and dance scene, but some notable venues are Legendarios del Guajirito, Habana Cafe 1957 (MeliΓ‘ Cohiba Hotel) and the La Zorra y El Cuervo.Β
Relax on Cubaβs Beaches
Cuba is renowned for some incredible and notable beaches, with their long stretches of white sand, turquoise water and green palm trees being a must see when visiting. Varadero is one of the most famous beaches, located only two hours from Havana, making it an unforgettable day trip to put in your itinerary. Another notable beach is Playa Pilar, often referred to as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. This spot is perfect for swimming, snorkelling and spending the day embracing the incredible natural beauty of the island.
Visit Trinidad and other Historical SitesΒ
Another UNESCO World Heritage Site is the town of Trinidad, offering a vibrant mix of cultural, historical and natural attractions. Wander the streets of the historical city centre, taking in the colourful colonial architecture, climb the bell tower for panoramic views, and visit the many museums the town has to offer. Trinidad is also home to some of the best cuban food, bustling bars, live performances and events.

What to Wear:
Cuban fashion is influenced by many factors such as the cultural influences and climate. We advise wearing breathable and lightweight fabrics like cotton and linen, and of course, some comfortable walking shoes. For the evenings, or for a dressier occasion, mix and match our bridal separates with other pieces you have packed, or pair one of our beautiful dresses with a strappy sandal for a tropical but elevated look. Features of our Jack and Jill Bridal Top and Gilligan Frill Skirt were actually inspired by some of the traditional Cuban fashion pieces that founder Ange saw when visiting, making it the perfect set to adorn on your trip.
